Autonomy - We believe that individuals and communities should have the ability to make their own decisions, and meet their own needs. We would like to move away from systems where organisations have power over people, and where people and communities are dependent on systems they have no agency in.
Equity - We believe that people and communities should be able to access the things they need, regardless of their social, financial or cultural realities. That people should be able to take what they need and give what they can and that organisations or people with power should use this to access resources for people who have less resources and power.
Care - We believe that we all deserve to have our emotional and practical needs met, and that it is possible to create a world where we are all safe and well. We believe that making this world happen is a collective responsibility, and requires compassion, collaboration and commitment.
Learning - We believe that learning should be transformational, to our understanding of the world and ourselves and therefore it matters how we learn, as much as what we are learning. We believe learning spaces should offer paths to belonging, connection and processing other life experiences.
Ecology - We believe that humans are a part of an ecological system, and that we need to re-learn to live in good relationship with the more than human world. That we have a responsibility to consider what and how we consume and create and build better systems moving forwards.
